Southfield Capital , LLC Announces the Promotion of Andrew T. Cook and William Heberd James to Partner

Southfield Capital, a growth-oriented lower middle market private equity firm, announced today the promotions of Andy Cook and Heb James to Partner.
Andy Levison, founder and Managing Partner, commented “Andy and Heb are exceptional professionals, both having made significant and valuable contributions to the success of Southfield. Andy Cook joined Levison & Co, the predecessor of Southfield Capital, in 2002. Andy has been involved in all of the firms’ previous investments and has served on the board of directors of TS3 Technology, Total Fleet Solutions, RCR International, Reinforced Plastic Systems, and Jacobs & Thompson. Andy currently sits on the Southfield Capital Investment Committee. In addition to his daily investment execution and portfolio company management responsibilities, Andy also manages the firm’s business development efforts. Prior to joining Levison & Co., Andy worked as an investment banker at Sheffield Merchant Banking Group and in the finance team at General Electric. He holds a B.A. degree in Economics from Hamilton College.
Heb James joined Southfield Capital in 2008 after working as an investment banker in the lower middle market space. While at Southfield Heb has led the firm’s investments in BioPharm and Hallcon. Heb currently serves on the board of directors of portfolio companies TS3 Technology, Hallcon and BioPharm Communications. He also sits on the Southfield Capital Investment Committee. Heb is active in all facets of Southfield including fund raising, opportunity sourcing, investment execution and portfolio company management. Prior to joining Southfield, Heb worked in the investment banking divisions of Oppenheimer & Co and Growth Capital Partners. He received an M.B.A. from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and a B.A. in Economics from Emory University.
