Southfield Capital’s team brings deep experience creating value in lower middle market companies as investors, consultants and operators
Andy founded Levison & Co., the predecessor of Southfield Capital, in November 2002. Before that he was the Head of Leveraged Finance at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette (DLJ), where he oversaw banking and origination activities for all of the firm's investment banking products for leveraged companies. In particular, Andy focused on high yield securities, leveraged bank loans, bridge loans and mezzanine/equity investments. Under his leadership, DLJ became the #1 ranked firm for high yield underwriting consistently throughout the 1990s. While at DLJ, Andy also served as Co-Chairman of the Credit Committee and as a member of the Management Committee of the Investment Banking Division and the Banking Review Committee. Prior to joining DLJ, he was a Managing Director of the Leveraged Buyout Group at Drexel Burnham Lambert and a Vice President of the Special Finance Group at Manufacturers Hanover Trust.
Andy has served on the boards of over 25 public and private companies related to investments and is currently on the board of directors of Ferrellgas Partners, L.P. (NYSE: FGP), Vanguard Dealer Services and the Levison/Present Foundation at Mount Sinai Hospital. Andy was also the President of The Red Ribbon Foundation in Greenwich, CT. He earned a B.S. degree in Finance from Babson College.
Andy joined Levison & Co., the predecessor of Southfield Capital, in November 2002. He has over 14 years of experience working as a principal with middle market companies. Since joining Southfield Capital, Andy has been involved in the sourcing, execution and management of the firm's direct investments and has developed extensive board-level experience. Prior to joining Levison & Co., he was an Analyst at CRT Capital Group, a boutique investment bank based in Stamford, CT. He also spent two years as an Analyst at General Electric in the company's Financial Management Program, with a majority of his time spent in General Electric Capital's private equity division.
Andy is currently on the board of directors of Tier One Relocation and Vanguard Dealer Services. He earned a B.A. degree in Economics, magna cum laude, from Hamilton College.
Heb joined Southfield in March 2008. Heb has worked with lower middle market companies his entire career. Prior to joining Southfield, he was an Associate in the Investment Banking Group at Oppenheimer & Co. At Oppenheimer, Heb provided deal origination, structuring and execution support on several capital markets and financial advisory transactions for small-cap and emerging-growth companies. Prior to Oppenheimer, he was an Associate with Growth Capital Partners, a boutique middle market investment bank focused on mergers and acquisitions and private placements. Heb is active in all facets of the firm from deal sourcing to providing strategic and operational guidance to Southfield’s portfolio companies.
Heb is currently on the board of directors of Ntiva. Heb received an M.B.A. from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and a B.A. from Emory University. He is also a CFA charterholder and a member of the New York Society of Investment Analysts.
Tim joined Southfield Capital in April 2014. Tim brings over twenty years of lower middle market experience to Southfield as a private equity investor, general manager, turnaround executive and management consultant.
Prior to joining Southfield, Tim was a Partner at Atlantic Street Capital, a lower middle market focused private equity fund. Before Atlantic Street, Tim was a Partner at CRG Group, a middle market turnaround and performance improvement consulting firm that was acquired by Deloitte in 2012. He served on the firm’s Executive and Management Committees and was a leader in the firm’s Performance Improvement Practice. Prior to CRG he spent over five years in operations management and business development roles at RHC Spacemaster, a middle market store fixture company. He began his career at The Keystone Group, a Chicago based management consulting firm, where he led consulting engagements around business strategy and operations improvement.
Tim is currently on the board of directors of Tier One Relocation and Ntiva. He received his M.B.A. from Northwestern University’s J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management and his B.A. degree in Political Science from Yale University.
Brandon joined Southfield Capital in July 2014. Prior to joining Southfield Capital, Brandon was an associate at Bayside Capital, HIG Capital’s $4.5 billion special situations group, focused on distressed debt, direct lending and special situation buyouts. While at Bayside, Brandon provided origination, structuring, execution, and operational support on a number of transactions across several industries. Prior to joining HIG, Brandon worked in the Investment Banking division of Morgan Stanley and provided financial advisory, structuring and execution support for several capital market and M&A transactions.
Brandon is currently on the board of directors of Vanguard Dealer Services. Brandon obtained his Bachelor’s degree from Morehouse College, graduating summa cum laude. Prior to completing his undergraduate degree, Brandon spent three years in the NFL with the Philadelphia Eagles, Minnesota Vikings, and overseas in Germany through NFL Europe.
Marko joined Southfield Capital in March 2015. Prior to joining Southfield Capital, Marko was an associate at Waterman Capital, a leading mid-market private equity firm based in New Zealand. While at Waterman Marko provided origination, structuring, execution and operational support on a eight completed transactions including direct fund investments, add-ons and divestments. Marko worked across multiple industries including retail, healthcare, education and financial services. Prior to joining Waterman Capital, Marko worked in the Investment Banking divisions of UBS and Rothschild’s affiliate in New Zealand.
Marko is currently on the board of directors of Tier One Relocation and Ntiva. Marko obtained a Bachelor of Commerce with First Class Honors in Finance from the University of Canterbury.
Jon has been overseeing Southfield’s tax and financial reporting since 2007. He has nearly twenty years of experience working in the alternative investment industry. He began his career with a small public accounting firm servicing the tax and financial reporting needs of high net worth clients and their asset managers. After earning his CPA license, Jon moved on to auditing and accounting roles with J.H. Whitney & Co, Ernst & Young, LLP and Quadrangle Group, LLC.
Jon is a certified public accountant in Connecticut and serves on the board of the Southern Connecticut Chapter of the Financial Executives Alliance. He received his B.S. in Accounting from Lehigh University.
